Non-Surgical BBL in New England: Sculptra vs. Radiesse for Your Dream Curves

The desire for a fuller, more sculpted backside is more popular than ever, and thanks to advancements in cosmetic procedures, achieving that "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL) look no longer requires surgery. For those in Boston, New England seeking a safer alternative with minimal downtime, non-surgical BBLs using injectable biostimulatory fillers like Sculptra and Radiesse are the go-to choice.

This blog post breaks down these innovative treatments to help you understand which option might be the best path to your ideal silhouette.

What is a Non-Surgical BBL?

A traditional BBL is a major surgical procedure that involves liposuction to harvest fat from one area of the body and then transferring that fat to the buttocks. While effective, it carries surgical risks and requires significant downtime.

A Non-Surgical BBL (or Liquid BBL) uses dermal fillers to add volume and contour to the buttocks. The key is that these are not simple temporary fillers; they are biostimulatory, meaning they work by encouraging your body to produce its own natural collagen.

Key Benefits of the Non-Surgical Approach:

  • Minimal Downtime: Return to most activities almost immediately.

  • No General Anesthesia: The procedure is done in-office with local numbing.

  • Reduced Risk: Avoids the serious risks associated with surgical fat transfer.

  • Customizable: Excellent for addressing hip dips, improving skin texture, and adding subtle volume and lift.

  • Suitable for Slimmer Patients: Doesn't require excess body fat for grafting.

Sculptra vs. Radiesse: The Collagen Contenders

Both Sculptra and Radiesse are popular, FDA-approved injectable fillers used for non-surgical BBLs in New England clinics, but they achieve their results through slightly different mechanisms and timelines.

Sculptra (Poly-L-lactic Acid - PLLA)

Primary Mechanism

Slowly stimulates long-term collagen growth.

Visible Results

Gradual. Typically noticeable 4-8 weeks after treatment, improving over several months.

Longevity

Up to 2 years or more with maintenance.

Treatment Sessions

Usually requires 2–3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart for optimal results.

Ideal For

Patients seeking a slow, natural, and gradual lift, and those prioritizing skin texture and firmness.

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) filler that is hyper-diluted and injected into the target area. It acts as a scaffold that causes the body to produce new collagen over time.

  • The Experience: Results are often described as beautifully natural because they build slowly. It's an excellent choice if your primary goal is to improve the overall firmness and texture of the skin, smooth out mild cellulite, and achieve a subtle, lasting lift.

  • Commitment: You must be patient, as the full effect requires time and multiple treatment sessions.

Radiesse: The Instant Lift with a Boost

Primary Mechanism

Provides immediate volume + stimulates long-term collagen.

Visible Results

Immediate volume upon injection, with continued improvement from collagen over time.

Longevity

Typically 12 to 18 months with maintenance.

Treatment Sessions

Often effective with 2–3 sessions.

Ideal For

Patients desiring faster, more noticeable volume and a more sculpted contour sooner.

Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel. When hyper-diluted and injected, the gel provides immediate volume and contouring, giving you instant gratification. Over the next few months, the CaHA microspheres stimulate your body's collagen.

  • The Experience: This is a great option if you want to see a noticeable difference right away. Its thicker consistency makes it fantastic for structural definition and creating a more sculpted, projected shape.

  • Commitment: While often requiring fewer initial sessions than Sculptra, its immediate volumizing results typically have a slightly shorter lifespan than the collagen-built results of Sculptra.

Finding Your Best Non-Surgical BBL Provider in New England

The key to a successful non-surgical BBL is the expertise of the injector. Because these procedures are complex and require significant volume, choosing a highly trained and experienced medical professional is paramount.

When researching clinics in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and beyond, look for providers who:

  1. Specialize in Non-Surgical Body Contouring: Ask about their specific experience and results with Sculptra and Radiesse BBLs.

  2. Offer a Consultation: A personalized consultation is essential to determine if you are a candidate, how much product is needed, and whether Sculptra or Radiesse is better suited for your specific goals (e.g., hip dips vs. overall volume).

  3. Use Hyperdiluted Fillers: For body treatments, the fillers must be "hyper-diluted" (mixed with a larger amount of sterile fluid) to ensure smooth, natural distribution and optimal collagen stimulation.

Exion RF Microneedling With Salmon PDRN & Exosomes

Exion RF Microneedling + Salmon-Sperm (PDRN), Rejuran & Exosomes — Why Dr. Hong Chooses This Combo

If you follow advanced skin-rejuvenation trends, you’ve probably heard about combining microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) and biologic serums. At Dr. H’s clinic we pair Exion RF microneedling with Korean PDRN (often called “salmon-sperm DNA”), Rejuran, and exosomes to get predictable improvement in texture, tone, laxity and glow. Below I’ll explain what each component does, why the combo is popular, and Dr. H’s practical 4-treatment recommendation.

What is Exion RF microneedling?

Exion RF is a device that delivers fractional radiofrequency energy through tiny needles. That combination does two important things:

  • The needles create controlled micro-channels — the classic microneedling stimulus — which triggers wound-healing and collagen production.

  • RF energy heats deeper dermal layers, tightening tissue and increasing collagen and elastin remodeling without overly damaging the epidermis.

Compared with needling alone, RF enhances tightening and gives more significant improvement in laxity and pore size.

What is “salmon-sperm” / PDRN / Rejuran?

“Salmon-sperm” is an informal way people describe PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) — short DNA fragments extracted from salmon DNA. In aesthetic practice PDRN (marketed under names like Rejuran) is widely used as a skin booster because it:

  • Supports tissue repair by activating local regenerative pathways.

  • Encourages fibroblast activity and collagen formation.

  • Has anti-inflammatory and hydration benefits.

  • Is well tolerated (low immunogenicity) when sourced and processed correctly — which is why many clinicians prefer Korean PDRN products like Rejuran.

When applied into the skin after microneedling, PDRN can use the microchannels to penetrate more effectively and amplify healing.

What are Exosomes and how do they help?

Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles released by cells that contain signaling molecules (proteins, miRNA, lipids). In aesthetics, exosome products are used to:

  • Deliver regenerative signals to skin cells, modulating inflammation and promoting collagen synthesis.

  • Enhance cellular communication to support faster, more organized repair.

  • Improve overall skin quality, brightness and texture when combined with delivery methods like microneedling.

In short: think of exosomes as “cellular messengers” that tell your skin’s repair machinery to work smarter.

Why this combo works (synergy, not gimmick)

  • Microneedling + RF = mechanical + thermal stimulation → stronger collagen remodeling and tightening.

  • Microchannels created by needling significantly increase penetration of PDRN and exosomes.

  • PDRN/Rejuran provides building blocks and regenerative signaling that support the wound-healing cascade and improve hydration.

  • Exosomes amplify cell signaling for cleaner, faster regeneration and better quality collagen.
Together, they produce more durable improvement in texture, elasticity and radiance than any single treatment alone.

Why it’s popular

  • Visible improvement in skin texture, pore size, fine lines, and firmness with relatively short downtime.

  • Good compatibility with a wide range of skin types (when performed by experienced providers).

  • The “bio-boost” trend — patients want treatments that not only injure the skin for remodeling, but also supply regenerative factors to optimize results.

  • Increasing trust in Korean biotech skin boosters (Rejuran/PDRN) and exosome products has driven popularity in medical aesthetic clinics.

Dr. Hong’s protocol & 4-treatment recommendation

Dr. H uses Korean PDRN (Rejuran) as the primary biologic booster combined with Exion RF microneedling and a complementary exosome infusion for patients who want accelerated regenerative results.

Typical plan Dr. H recommends:

  1. Series of 4 treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart.

    • Why 4? It gives repeated stimulation to the collagen cycle and cumulative improvement in tone/texture.

  2. Pre-treatment: skin prep (hydrafacial or gentle chemical exfoliation if appropriate) and topical numbing. Avoid active retinoids 3–5 days prior.

  3. During treatment: Exion RF pass(es) followed by topical/needle-assisted application of Rejuran (PDRN) and then an exosome product into the microchannels or via mesotherapy depending on skin needs.

  4. Maintenance: single maintenance session every 3–6 months depending on aging concerns and lifestyle.

Expected timeline: mild to moderate redness and swelling for 24–72 hours; ongoing skin improvement becomes noticeable after 2–4 weeks and continues to improve over 3 months as collagen matures.

Who is a good candidate — and who should wait?

Good candidates:

  • Patients with early-to-moderate skin laxity, large pores, uneven texture, fine lines, or dullness.

  • Those seeking improvement without surgical downtime.

Contraindications / caution:

  • Active skin infection, open wounds or herpes simplex in the treatment area.

  • Recent isotretinoin use (consult your provider).

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding (many exosome and biologic products lack safety data).

  • Autoimmune conditions or history of keloids — individual evaluation required.

Aftercare & what to expect

  • Keep skin clean; use gentle cleanser and SPF.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and heavy sweating for 48 hours.

  • Hydrating creams and gentle reparative serums are encouraged; avoid active acids for several days.

  • Expect gradual improvement: texture and radiance often improve first; tightening and collagen remodeling continue over 8–12 weeks.

Short FAQ

Q: How many sessions until I see results?
A: Many patients notice brighter skin after the first session; optimal results after the full 3–4 session course.

Q: Is it painful?
A: Most patients tolerate it well with topical numbing; sensations vary but are generally manageable.

Q: Are PDRN and exosomes safe?
A: When sourced and administered properly by trained clinicians, they have good safety profiles. Discuss product sourcing and testing with your provider.

Final note

Combining Exion RF microneedling with Korean PDRN (Rejuran) and exosomes is a powerful regenerative approach for modern skin rejuvenation. At Dr. H’s clinic we tailor energy settings, biologic dosages, and timing to each patient’s skin goals — the recommended 4-treatment series spaced 3–4 weeks apart gives a reliable balance of effectiveness and safety.

Why Choosing an Experienced Botox Injector Matters

Botox has become one of the most popular aesthetic treatments in the world—and for good reason. It smooths fine lines and softens wrinkles, helping you look refreshed and youthful with little to no downtime. But while Botox may seem simple, the quality of your results depends on one critical factor: the expertise of your injector.

Safety Comes First

Botox is a medical procedure, and safety should always be the top priority. An inexperienced injector may not fully understand the complex facial anatomy, which can lead to complications such as drooping eyelids, uneven brows, or difficulty with facial expressions. An experienced injector knows exactly where to place the product and how much to use to achieve beautiful, safe results.

Natural-Looking Results

The goal of Botox is to enhance your appearance, not change it entirely. Skilled injectors have an artistic eye and understand how to relax muscles without leaving you looking “frozen.” With the right technique, your results look subtle and natural—you’ll look like yourself, only more refreshed.

Customized Treatment for Every Face

No two faces are alike. Factors like muscle strength, facial balance, and your personal goals all influence how Botox should be applied. An experienced injector takes the time to assess your features and design a treatment plan tailored specifically to you, instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Longer-Lasting, More Even Results

Proper placement and precise dosing are key to making Botox last. When done correctly, results are not only more consistent but often last longer, giving you the best return on your investment.

Expertise in Managing Complications

Though rare, complications can happen. An experienced injector has the training to recognize issues early and knows how to address them quickly—something that provides patients with peace of mind.

The Bottom Line

Botox may be a quick treatment, but it is not a decision to take lightly. Choosing an experienced injector ensures your results are safe, natural, and tailored to your unique beauty. If you’re considering Botox, make sure you’re in the hands of a trusted professional who combines medical expertise with an artistic touch.

Why We Use Microcannulas for Safer, More Comfortable Filler Injections

When it comes to dermal filler treatments, technique matters just as much as the product itself. At our clinic, we often use a microcannula instead of a traditional needle — and here’s why that makes a big difference for your results and comfort.

💉 What is a Microcannula?

A microcannula is a thin, flexible tube with a blunt tip. Unlike a sharp needle, it doesn’t cut through tissue or blood vessels. Instead, it glides gently under the skin to deliver filler precisely where it’s needed.

🌟 The Benefits of Microcannula Injections

  • Less Bruising & Swelling: Because it doesn’t pierce through blood vessels, the risk of bruising is much lower.

  • Safer Technique: The blunt tip helps reduce the risk of accidentally injecting into a blood vessel.

  • Fewer Entry Points: One entry site can treat a larger area, meaning fewer needle sticks.

  • More Comfortable: Patients typically describe the treatment as smoother and less painful than multiple needle pokes.

  • Natural, Even Results: The flexibility of the cannula allows for more precise, blended filler placement.

Why This Matters for You

💎 Choosing a clinic that uses microcannulas isn’t just about safety — it’s about achieving the best possible results with the least amount of downtime. Your filler should make you look refreshed and natural, not bruised or overfilled.

✨ With microcannulas, we can give you a smoother, safer, and more comfortable filler experience.

3 Best Post-Summer Skin Care Treatments to Restore Your Glow

Summer is a season of sunshine, travel, and outdoor fun — but it can take a toll on your skin. After months of UV exposure, heat, humidity, and sunscreen build-up, many people notice dryness, discoloration, or a tired-looking complexion.

The good news: with the right treatments, you can reverse summer skin damage and restore a healthy, radiant glow before fall.

In this article, we’ll share the three best post-summer skin care treatments recommended by Dr. Hong

1. Pico Laser: Correct Sun Damage & Pigmentation

Sunscreen, sweat, and pollution can clog pores and leave skin dull. A Hydrafacial deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates — instantly refreshing and prepping the skin for advanced treatments.

Benefits:

  • Clears impurities and debris

  • Restores moisture balance

  • Enhances glow immediately

  • Suitable for all skin types

EmFace: The Needle-Free Way to Lift, Tighten, and Rejuvenate

Aging is inevitable—but looking aged doesn’t have to be. Many people want a more lifted, youthful look without turning to needles, fillers, or surgery. That’s where EmFace comes in. This breakthrough treatment is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after solutions for facial rejuvenation, offering natural-looking results with no downtime.

If you’ve ever wondered whether there’s a way to tone facial muscles and smooth wrinkles without injections, here’s everything you need to know about EmFace.

What Is EmFace?

Emface is a non-invasive, needle-free treatment that combines two powerful technologies:

  • Radiofrequency (RF): Delivers gentle heat to stimulate collagen and elastin production, tightening and smoothing the skin.

  • HIFES™ (High-Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation): Contracts and strengthens facial muscles, lifting and restoring natural support.

Think of it as a workout for your face—while RF works on the skin, HIFES tones the muscles beneath. The result is a firmer, more sculpted look that restores youthful contours without fillers or surgery.

How Does Emface Work?

The aging process affects both the skin and the muscles underneath. Skin loses collagen and elasticity, while facial muscles weaken and allow features to droop. Traditional treatments like Botox and fillers focus on either relaxing wrinkles or adding volume—but Emface targets the root causes of facial aging by working on skin and muscle at the same time.

During treatment:

  1. RF energy gently warms the skin, triggering collagen and elastin remodeling.

  2. HIFES stimulation activates specific facial muscles, improving tone and lift.

Together, these two modalities rejuvenate your face from the inside out—smoothing wrinkles, redefining contours, and creating a naturally lifted appearance.

What Is the Treatment Like?

One of the reasons patients love Emface is its comfort and convenience.

  • Time: Each session takes only about 20 minutes.

  • Sensation: You’ll feel a warm sensation on your skin and rhythmic pulses as your facial muscles gently contract. Most patients describe it as unusual but not painful.

  • Downtime: There’s none. You can return to work, workouts, or social activities immediately afterward.

A typical treatment plan involves four sessions spaced one week apart, although some patients notice results after the very first treatment.

Results You Can Expect

Clinical studies and patient experiences show impressive results with Emface. Benefits may include:

  • A lifted, more defined facial contour

  • Smoother skin and reduced wrinkles

  • Improved cheek volume and definition

  • Enhanced brow lift for a refreshed look

  • Overall younger, more rested appearance

Results continue to improve over time as your skin produces new collagen and your muscles strengthen. Many patients notice their best outcome about 8–12 weeks after the final session, and results can last up to a year or longer with proper maintenance.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Emface?

EmFace is an excellent option for men and women who want to rejuvenate their appearance without injectables or surgery. It’s ideal if you:

  • Are noticing early signs of facial aging (sagging, fine lines, drooping brows, or loss of definition).

  • Want a natural look without added volume or “frozen” expressions.

  • Prefer a non-invasive treatment with no downtime.

  • Are already using Botox or fillers but want to support facial structure in a different way.

It can also be combined with other treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, or skin resurfacing for a comprehensive anti-aging plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does EmFace replace Botox or fillers?
Not exactly. While Emface builds lift and structure by targeting skin and muscle, Botox and fillers address specific wrinkles or volume loss. Many patients combine them for optimal results.

  • Is EmFace painful?
No. The treatment is well-tolerated and feels like a combination of gentle warmth and facial muscle contractions.

  • How soon will I see results?
Some patients notice an immediate “glow” and subtle lift, but results build progressively over several weeks.

  • How many treatments will I need?
Our clinic protocol start with six sessions (one per week). Your provider may recommend maintenance treatments to prolong your results.

Exomind: Strengthen Your Mind! A New Era in Mental Health Treatment with TMS

Living with depression, anxiety, or OCD can feel like an endless loop of frustration—especially when traditional treatments don’t bring lasting relief. Medications may stop working. Therapy might not be enough. And for many people, the side effects of antidepressants outweigh the benefits.

But what if there were a non-invasive, drug-free therapy—one that works by directly stimulating the brain’s own healing mechanisms?

Meet Exomind: a cutting-edge mental health solution delivering FDA-cleared Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to help patients regain control over their lives.

What Is Exomind?

Exomind is a next-generation mental health treatment provider using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation—a powerful, evidence-based therapy cleared by the FDA to treat:

  • Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Designed for people who haven’t found success with medication alone, Exomind offers a safe, effective, and non-invasive path forward.

How TMS Works

TMS uses focused magnetic pulses to stimulate underactive areas of the brain—particularly the prefrontal cortex, which plays a key role in mood regulation. The process is completely non-invasive: no anesthesia, no implants, and no systemic side effects like those seen with medications.

Each treatment session typically lasts, comfortable sessions under 30 minutes, and most patients require daily sessions over four to six weeks. After a full course, many report significant improvements in mood, focus, and overall quality of life.

Why Choose Exomind?

Exomind doesn’t just deliver TMS—it transforms the experience.

Here’s what sets Exomind apart:

  • Personalized Treatment Plans: Every brain is different. Exomind clinicians tailor the intensity and frequency of magnetic stimulation based on your unique brain activity and clinical needs.

  • Modern, Comfortable Clinics: Designed to feel more like a wellness center than a medical office.

  • Clinically Proven Technology: Backed by years of research and cleared by the FDA.

  • Expert Team: Licensed professionals with deep experience in neuromodulation and mental health care.

At Exomind, treatment isn’t just about symptom reduction—it’s about restoring hope, clarity, and resilience.

What to Expect as a Patient

Starting TMS with Exomind is simple:

  1. Consultation – Meet with a mental health specialist to determine if TMS is right for you.

  2. Mapping Session – A brief session to identify the exact location in your brain to target.

  3. Treatment Sessions – 2 treatments per a week for 3 weeks for initial treatments, each lasting less than 30 minutes, .

  4. No Downtime – You can drive home and return to your daily routine immediately.

Most patients report improvements within 2–4 weeks, with minimal to no side effects. Some describe it as a gentle tapping sensation on the scalp—painless and manageable.

Backed by Science. Cleared by the FDA.

TMS has been studied extensively since the early 2000s, and in 2008, the FDA cleared it for treating depression. Since then, it’s gained additional approval for OCD and anxiety, with numerous clinical trials confirming its safety and effectiveness.

For individuals with treatment-resistant depression, TMS has been shown to be twice as effective as antidepressants—and without the same long-term risks.

Breaking the Stigma: TMS Is Not "Shock Therapy"

Let’s clear up a common misconception: TMS is not electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). There are no electrical currents, no sedation, and no memory loss.

TMS is more like physical therapy for your brain. It gently retrains neural pathways, helping your mind heal and reconnect in healthier ways.

Is TMS Right for You?

If you’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, or OCD—and medications haven’t helped—TMS might be the answer you’ve been looking for.

At Exomind, we believe that mental health treatment should be evidence-based, compassionate, and personalized. Whether you're starting your journey or looking for an alternative to traditional approaches, we’re here to support you.

Emsella: The Chair That’s Changing Pelvic Health

Pelvic health is a topic often overlooked—until it becomes a daily struggle. Whether it’s urinary incontinence, post-childbirth recovery, or a general decline in core strength due to aging, these issues can have a significant impact on confidence, comfort, and overall quality of life. Fortunately, there’s now a revolutionary solution that doesn’t involve surgery, downtime, or even taking off your clothes. Enter Emsella—the non-invasive treatment that’s redefining how we approach pelvic floor health.

What Is Emsella?

Emsella is a unique medical device that uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate deep pelvic floor muscles. It’s FDA-cleared to treat urinary incontinence and promote intimate wellness, making it a popular choice for both women and men looking for a safe, effective alternative to traditional therapy or surgery. Often referred to as the “Kegel throne,” Emsella delivers the equivalent of thousands of Kegel exercises in a single, 30-minute session—all while you remain fully clothed.

Who Can Benefit from Emsella?

Emsella is designed for individuals experiencing:

  • Stress, urge, or mixed urinary incontinence

  • Pelvic floor weakness following childbirth or surgery

  • Age-related muscle decline

  • Reduced intimate wellness or sensation

  • Core instability

It’s ideal for individuals seeking a non-invasive, no-downtime treatment that can be completed quickly and discreetly.

How It Works

The treatment is simple: you sit on the Emsella chair, fully dressed. The chair emits focused electromagnetic energy that stimulates the pelvic floor muscles to contract over 11,000 times during a single session. These supramaximal contractions go far beyond what you can achieve through regular Kegel exercises, helping to retrain the muscles, restore neuromuscular control, and build long-term strength. A typical course includes six sessions over three weeks, though many notice improvement after just one or two.

What to Expect During and After Treatment

During the session, you’ll feel a tingling sensation and muscle contractions, but no pain. Afterward, you can return to your normal activities right away—no recovery time needed. Results vary, but many patients report:

  • Better bladder control

  • Reduced urgency or frequency

  • Improved quality of sleep (less nighttime waking)

  • Enhanced confidence in daily activities

The Benefits Go Beyond Bladder Control

While Emsella is most commonly used for urinary incontinence, it offers broader benefits:

  • Stronger pelvic muscles can improve sexual health and satisfaction

  • A more stable core can lead to better posture and lower back support

  • For postpartum women, it offers a gentle yet powerful way to support recovery

Is Emsella Right for You?

Emsella is suitable for many people, but it’s important to consult with a qualified provider. The treatment is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have pacemakers, or metal implants in the treatment area.

If you’re unsure whether you’re a good candidate, a quick consultation can help you explore your options.

Emsella is more than just a chair—it’s a transformative tool for anyone seeking to improve pelvic floor health in a dignified, non-invasive way. Whether you’re looking to regain control, boost your confidence, or support your overall wellness, Emsella could be the solution that lets you take a seat and take charge.

How to reduce bruising with fillers injections: Ask Dr. Hong

Dermal Fillers: Cannula vs. Needles

Cosmetic Dermal fillers are used to replace volume that’s been lost in the face as a result of ageing. Dermal fillers are safe and made from a substance that’s also found naturally in the body, and they add fullness to skin, reducing the appearance of folds and wrinkles. They offer fast results and can be combined with other treatments like PRP Facial treatment and BTL Exilis for complete facial rejuvenation.

While traditionally these fillers have always been injected using sharp tip needles, a new alternative to using needles is using blunt tipped cannulas to inject dermal fillers or known as dermal filler cannula which provides several benefits

Sharp tip needles use a very thin, short, sharp needle to inject dermal fillers. When using needles, multiple injection points are required, which can increase the risk of hitting a vein. If a vein is hit with a needle, there’s a higher chance of bruising after the procedure.

Along with pain and bruising, other risks that can occur, although they are rare, include skin irregularities post injection, infection at the injection site, and tissue death, and blindness which can occur when a filler is injected into a blood vessel by accident.

Cannulas have a hollow bore, just like needles, allowing the filler to pass through into the tissue. However, instead of having a sharp tip like needles, cannulas have a round, blunt end.

Therefore, this method is much safer and results with less bruising for dermal filler injections compared to using needles. Furthermore, it provides a natural and graceful look!

Intravenous Vitamin Therapy

Intravenous Vitamin Therapy

  • Intravenous vitamin therapy involves the administration of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, such as amino acids, directly into the bloodstream in the form of a drip.

  • The IV method bypasses the digestive system, allowing delivery of greater quantities of nutrients and promoting maximal absorption. Orally administered vitamins can be inactivated in the digestive tract or poorly absorbed, and in high doses can cause unwanted side-effects such as abdominal cramps and nausea.

    BEAUTY

  • ‘True beauty from inside out’. This antioxidant packed infusion is a nutrient dense cocktail that supports strong healthy hair and nail growth, skin hydration and collagen formation. When nutrients are infused intravenously, your body absorbs 100% of the vitamins and Biotin immediately! This translates to improved hair and nail growth, strength and vitality as well as that coveted post-IV glow.

    PERFORMANCE

  • Fatigue and exhaustion is nearly constant state of weariness that develops over time and reduces your energy, motivation and concentration. Fatigue at this level impacts your emotional and psychological well-being.

  • Formulated with a variety of vitamins (including a high dose of the B’s) and other micro-nutrients—this helps re-balance an overtaxed system. Replenishing the nutrients you may be lacking may improve energy levels and diminish stress.

    B COMPLEX

  • Our brain, nervous system, red blood cells, and DNA all require Vitamin B in its various forms to function normally. Deficiencies of several Vitamin B variations are associated with severe neurological disorders such as numbness, tingling in fingers and toes. A deficiency in these can also be the cause of fatigue, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and anaemia, and what some may call brain fog. This IV Vitamin B complex infusion contains a good dose of B vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6. Master detoxifier, Improves skin, hair, and nails , Skin brightening, High dose anti-oxidants, Anti-aging benefits.

    VITAMIN C

  • The Vitamin C Infusion is a vitamin drip tailor-made to boost your immune system and prevent travel related illnesses. It contains high dose Vitamin C combined with specially formulated nutrients to help combat superbugs and common viruses. Cold and Flu Buster, Perfect for travellers, Improves immune health and mental clarity.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma

  • Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has been used for many years to facilitate wound healing and has also played an important role in orthopedics, plastic surgery, and dentistry. It is frequently used to expedite the healing of sports injuries. In recent years, PRP has been used to treat hair loss and has come to be recognized for its ability to improve skin quality.

  • PRP is a concentrate of blood, enriched in cells called platelets which have an important role in the blood clotting process. Platelets contain a number of natural growth factors. Once introduced into the skin the platelets release their growth factors which stimulate the production of collagen and enhance the blood supply to the treated area.

  • Dr. Hong Med Spa uses the PRP Kits system since the PRP produced is of the highest quality and with the optimal concentration of platelets for tissue regeneration and stimulation of hair growth.

  • PRP treatments are safe, natural and usually very well tolerated.

PRP for Hair Loss

  • Both men and women suffering from thinning hair to pattern baldness may benefit from treatment with PRP.  PRP contains many growth factors that stimulate the development of new hair follicles and improve the health of existing ones. We recommend doing 3-4 treatments, one month apart, with maintenance treatments semi-annually to prolong and maintain results. The earlier these treatments are started the better the outcome in terms of slowing the hair loss and stimulation of healthy hair growth.

  • Annual PRP treatments are also recommended as a maintenance treatment after hair transplantation.

PRP for Skin Rejuvenation

  • PRP has been used for facial rejuvenation throughout the world since 2006. It is especially valuable for treating fine lines around the eyes. We prefer to add PRP when treating the skin with microneedling, RadioFrequency (RF) and Ultrasound as it enhances the results. Similarly, PRP can effectively improve outcomes when used in combination with other treatments such as filler injections.

Non Surgical Temple Restoration

How temple dermal filler treatments can improve your face and make you feel younger

  • Your temples lie at the side of your face, just beside your eyes. The tail of your eyebrows finishes at the front of your temples, and the upper edge meets your forehead. During the ageing process, we all lose volume in our temples. A hollowing of the temples is a natural part of the ageing process. Soft tissue and bone dissolves while muscle and fascia (your connective tissues) change. This leads to less structural support in the temple area, which results in folds, wrinkles and volume loss.

  • Typically this process starts in your mid 20’s and will become more obvious in your 40’s. If you exercise regularly, eat well and run, it’s possible that the ageing process and the hollowing of your temple region has been exacerbated.

  • As you age, a hollowing out in the temple area can cause an appearance that looks similar to a ‘peanut’ – a wide forehead, narrow temples and narrow cheeks. But there is a solution; the volume in your temples can be replaced using dermal fillers.

How to treat the temples with dermal filler treatments

  • Dermal filler treatment is very effective for temple treatment.  With dermal filler injections we are able to revolumise and restore your temples. Due to Therapeutic Goods Administration rules, we can’t name any of the products we use.

  • Many dermal fillers are made from a clear gel composed of a substance that is naturally found in skin. Dermal fillers vary with viscosity, thickness, and longevity. We tend to use finer fillers in areas where your skin is fine and smoothness is critical, like your eye area and temple area.

  • Our dermal filler treatment for temples can be done with a blunt micro-cannula injection technique. A blunt micro-cannula temple filler technique involves a single puncture with a needle. This is passed through the top section of your outside eyebrow to a single point near the bone. We then inject dermal filler downwards to smooth and fill the area out.
